Make Things!
Anyone can do it, whether you're super talented or not (yet). In this accessible upcycle workshop, you'll learn the basics you need! Besides learning how to use a sewing machine, you'll also gain insight into garment construction and how to transform this knowledge into sewing your new favorite piece of clothing! This workshop is both nice to join if you've never sewn before or if you already know how to use the machine. I'll guide you step by step, wherever you need!

About the workshop
Learn how to alter a button up shirt in such a way that it perfectly suits your style!
For this workshop you can choose from several different alterations that you'll receive details about upon registration. This way you can think about what you want to make beforehand.
Alterations like: cropping, add cords or bows, change buttons, apply elastic for a different effect, make one shirt out of two – and you'll be guided from start to finish.
NOTE: you don't need sewing experience to join this workshop, I'll guide you wherever you need. But also fun for people with more experience because you'll learn different upcycle techniques.
Bring your own shirt or add one to your cart! You'll pick your shirt at the beginning of the workshop. There is always enough choice in color and size

Every now and then we'll add new data. If you have any questions about a specific date in the future that hasn't been published yet, or if you want to make a reservation for a group of 4-10* people, don't hesitate to send me a message!
* A workshop for more than 4 people will be given at a different location in Eindhoven.

Are you looking for a fun birthday/bachelorettes/crafternoon session with the girls? This workshop is also available to book for larger groups!

'De upcycling workshop van Kaya is één groot feestje! Ik leerde er (als semi-ervaren naaister) nieuwe technieken, kon er lachen met andere deelnemers en liep na een paar uur met een superleuk kledingstuk weer naar buiten. Kaya is mega behulpzaam en weet heel goed uit te leggen hoe je met een volgende stap weer verder moet. Wat mij betreft is deze workshop een absolute aanrader voor alle creatievelingen in Eindhoven (en heel Nederland eigenlijk haha) ✨'

'Goed gezelschap, toffe locatie en vooral een inspirerende workshop. In plaats van oude kleding wegdoen, leren hoe je het kan upcyclen in groepsverband. In onze groep varieerde de ervaring met een naaimachine en koos iedereen een andere toepassing, waardoor je meerdere technieken voorbij zag komen. We leerde dus niet alleen van de instructrice maar ook van elkaar.
Het spannendste vond ik het om voor het eerst een schaar in een goed (maar niet meer gedragen) kledingstuk te zetten. Nu bedenk ik me bij elk kledingstuk (in het "vergeet me niet" hoekje van mijn kledingkast) wat ik ervan wil maken /hoe ik het ga vermaken.''
